Sniper Course

2 Day SNIPERS COURSE

Train and experience the world of a Sniper in this exhilarating high octane course. You will train in the silent art of an elite Sniper learning about Camouflage and Concealment, how to Stalk an enemy, how to Navigate, how to Judge Distance and Precision Shooting (the 5 main disciplines a Sniper must be expert in). The week culminates in a Stalk to the enemy position; putting into practise all the skills you’ve learned and where in conjunction with other teams carry out a controlled synchronised shoot, with one shot one kill accuracy. (All shooting is of a fictional type using “Airsoft” or similar weaponry).

Day 1 Camouflage and Concealment and Navigation.

You will start the day learning the art of Camouflage, putting on Cam cream and using natural foliage to make yourself blend in, you will be taught about using the land to hide yourself and some tricks of the trade in concealment. You will be split into two groups, one group will go off to a designated area and hide you will have five minutes to do this, the other group with binoculars or the naked eye will try to locate you, all those spotted will stand up, after a time period the winners will identify themselves, the groups will then swap round so that everyone has an opportunity to hide and seek.

After lunch you will be taught basic map reading and using a compass, we will then do a navigation exercise moving from point to point from a military tactical point of view.

Day 2 Judging Distance and Stalking.

We start the day learning how to judge distance, an important skill for a Sniper as he needs to know the enemy’s distance to set his sights on his weapon. We will use different methods to judging distance such as section average, appearance method, unit of measure and halving, we will conclude with a team competition to see who has the potential to be a Sniper.

Once lunch is over we will conduct what the Snipers call a stalk, we will use all the skills learned to get to an enemy, eliminate them then get out, one shot one kill. We will split the group in half, one half will be the enemy who are static but observing their area because they know Snipers could be present.

The other half from a distance will approach the enemy unseen, using the lay of the land and navigation skills to get close enough to take out the enemy utilising their skills in Camouflage and Concealment practiced the day before. Once completed the groups will swap round. This concludes the Sniper course.
